Around SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology), Central Calgary, Canada
#1
Around the outer parameter of SAIT (Southern Institute of Technology) and Alberta University of the Arts (AUA) (and occasionally within it), there are these examples of circle-related graffiti. I'm not sure what they are or what they were originally intended to signify. But what is clear is that they are associated with SAIT/AUA in some way. One of the above examples has interestingly been defaced: someone creatively drew the number "8" on it, thereby turning the black and white circles into a pool "8" ball. The last photo actually shows two of these circles (one at the bottom of the photo and one nearer the top). Is it possible that they serve some kind of purpose relating to surveying? Or are they some kind of art project by one of the AUA students? We don't actually know. Perhaps you have a better idea.... If so, let us know. These photos were taken in the summer of 2025.
