On hot summer weekends, the ice cream shop "Made By Marcus" frequently becomes very busy. It can become so busy that a long queue of people can be seen outside the Hillhurst shop. To control these queues, it appears the proprietors decided to place guiding lines on the footpath so the queues know where to line up (see the above photos). These dividing lines are placed on council property--the footpath. If the ice cream proprietors failed to contact the city council about the placement of these lines, then they likely constitute illegal graffiti. These photos where taken during the summer of 2025.
