This marking (first photo) appeared on the lower end of Mount Street as it joins Salamanca Road. This photo was taken circa 2010. Around the corner just several hundred metres away on The Terrace (the business centre of Wellington) was a hair stylist business called "Snip" (with a pair of scissors in is logo). The hairstylist has since closed down.
